- Submit a college transcript with a transferable math or statistics course OR if you're currently taking a college math or statistics course, add a Course in Progress to your record.
- Submit an AP or IB score that awards you math or statistics credit at App State.
The Math Placement Test:
- 30 minute timed test
- 25 questions (10 or higher is a passing score)
- Sample Questions and Answers to review before taking the test

Using Placement Scores to Select a MAT/STT Course
After receiving your scores from the Math Placement test, use our Math Guide to help you choose the appropriate math course.
- Pay particular attention to your math pathway based on your intended major.
- If you only need MAT 1010 for your intended major, you can enroll directly in MAT 1010 regardless of your placement test score.
