You may have told your University College advisor what your intended major is. This is not the same as declaring your major. (If you are not ready to declare, but want to change your intended major, email your advisor and they can have that changed.)
If you have completed at least 30 semester hours, including credit for RC 1000 or an equivalent course and credit for or current enrollment in UCO 1200 or an equivalent course, and have obtained at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA, you may declare a major unless additional admissions requirements must be met.
- Officially declare your major
- If you want to change your program delivery mode (e.g., primarily face-to-face to fully online or vice versa) or you would like to see if it is possible to take your classes at our Hickory Campus, don't submit the major declaration form. Instead, complete this Campus Change Interest Form. An advisor will contact you via your App State email account. If you want to change to a fully online program, make sure your desired degree is on this list of Appalachian's online programs.
