Coronavirus Updates

Updated March 26, 2020

University College Academic Advising will continue advising during Spring 2020 using a variety of remote methods including your account. Please plan to keep your current appointment and look for further instruction from your academic advisor in your App State email account.

If you have required advising and haven't made an appointment, please schedule your appointment as soon as possible through AppalNet.

The last date to drop courses or withdraw from Appalachian State University is now Tuesday, May 12th at 11:59 pm, the day after final grades are due.  Students may login to the AppalNet Registration system and drop any course at any time between now and then.  These drops will not count as career drops.  Please consult with your academic advisor before dropping a course.

  • All drops this semester after March 9 will be considered impacted by COVID -19 and will not count as part of the 4 career drops students are allowed while at Appalachian State.

  • Grade forgiveness/repeated courses taken this semester will not count as part of the 4 grade forgiveness/repeats students are allowed while at Appalachian State.  If repeating one or more courses this semester, at the end of the semester, please check with your advisor to be sure those courses do not count as part of your 4 grade forgiveness/repeated courses.

The university has approved an opt-in enhanced pass-no credit alternate grading system for Spring 2020.  Read the full information about this system here . NOTE: the deadline is Sunday, May 17th at 11:59 pm, but advisors and campus offices will only be available to answer questions until 5 pm on Friday, May 15th.
